Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Brookhart, 86

Elizabeth Ann “Betty” Brookhart, 86, of Coldwater, died on Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Celina Manor.

She was born on May 17, 1927, in Coldwater, to the late Robert H. and Eulalia “Peg” (Bernard) Giere.

On Feb. 4, 1948, she married Dane Lamar Brookhart and he died in 1993. She is survived by eight children, Curtis (Ruth) Brookhart of New Bremen; Craig Brookhart of Cleveland; Douglas (Marjorie) Brookhart of Dayton; Dale Brookhart of Dayton, Roy (Cris) Brookhart of Cary, N.C.; Gail (William) Standhardt of Indianapolis, Ind.; Anita (Alan) Olsen of Germany and Barbara (Chuck) Pinney of Lima; 19 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; by a sister and brother-in-law.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild; a great-grandchild; a sister and brother-in-law.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, State of the Heart Hospice or donor’s choice.
