Eldon D. Bowsher, 91

Eldon D. Bowsher, 91, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:05 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home.  

He was born on Oct. 23, 1922, in Lima, to Pearl and Clara Marie Puschel Bowsher.  

He married Jean M. Naumburg on June 11, 1945, and she survives in Wapakoneta.

Mr. Bowsher had been a clerk at Teledyne and had also been a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Buckland United Church of Christ, where he had held many offices.

He was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a former board member of the Buckland School District. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.

Additional survivors include a son, Craig (Barbara) Bowsher of St. Marys; two daughters, Kathleen (David) Macwhinney of Celina and Patricia (Michael) Kohrn of Jackson,Tenn.; son-in-law Randy Swink of The Villages, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Kraig; Kim; Tamara; Todd; Heather; Brandon; Kelly and Bryan; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister, Alice Kellerman of Buckland and a sister-in-law, Annabelle Bowsher of Wapakoneta.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lora Swink and a brother, Robert Bowsher.

 The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.

The funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, the Rev. Adrian Sunday officiating.

Burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery.
