Edward W. Schulte, 84, of Celina, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 24, 2011, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born on Feb. 25, 1927, in Celina, to Frank and Rosa (Zumbrink) Schulte, and they preceded him in death.
On Feb. 7, 1953, he married Waneta Michaels, and she survives him.
He is also survived by three sons, David (Melody) Schulte of Prosser, Wash., Gary Schulte of Marion and Dan Schulte of Celina; two daughters, Susan (Lester) Richardson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Donna (Herb) Wright of Howell, Mich.; a sister; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three children, Diane, Michael and Ronald; four brothers; two sisters.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, having served in World War II.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina. Burial will be held in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery in Celina.
Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Monday at W.H. Dick and Sons - Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Ohio Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
