Edith C. Doenges, 59, 05751 Washington Pike, St. Marys, died at 6:40 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013.

She was born on March 23, 1954, in Celina, to Lawrence and Leona (Stachler) Schwieterman, both of whom preceded him in death.

She married Bill L. Doenges on May, 26, 1975, and he survives at their residence.

Survivors include four sons, Kevin (Cecelia) Doenges of Columbus; Jonathan Doenges of Grove City; Louis Doenges and fiancee Molly McNamara of Canton and Rob Doenges of Fishers, Ind.; two daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Davis of Columbus and Michele (James) Hudson of Troy; six brothers, Lee Roy (Judy) Schwieterman of Morgan Town, Ind.; Daniel (Anna) Schwieterman of Houston, Texas; Vern (Judy) Schwieterman of Citrus Springs, Fla.; Lloyd (Kathy) Schwieterman of Celina; Stan Wchwieterman of Dallas, Texas; and Art Schwieterman of St. Marys; two sisters, Myra (John) Hileman of Celina and Kay (Tim) Wenning of Celina; and six grandchildren, Max and Allison Davis, Cathy and Heidi Hudson; Leona Doenges and baby Doenges on the way.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe and Alvin Schwieterman.

Edith was a 1972 graduate of Marion Local High School. She worked for 40 years at Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina.

She was an avid member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys. She enjoyed traveling, baking and gardening.

Edith was a devoted wife and mother, a fun-loving grandma and had many great friends. Bill and Edith have always felt very blessed to both come from large and wonderful families.

Visitation hours will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home, located at 1175 E. Greenville Road in St. Marys.

There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Holy Rosary Church in St. Marys, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating.

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
