October 11, 2012

WAPAKONETA — Two Dayton residents were arrested on Tuesday as the result of an undercover drug bust by members of the Grand Lake Drug Task Force.

In a news release, Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said the arrests took place in Wapakoneta following a short-term investigation. A substantial amount of heroin and cocaine were seized. More than 10 grams of drugs were seized with a street value of approximately $800.

Arrested were Denisen Dancer, 27, and Tyran Gooch, 18, both of Dayton. They are being held in the Auglaize County Jail pending the posting of bond. Dancer’s bond has been set at $100,000, with a 10 percent cash provision and Gooch’s bond was set at $50,000, with a 10 percent cash provision. Another male with them was taken into custody, but later released pending further investigation.

Assisting the Grand Lake Drug Task Force in the arrests were deputies and detectives from the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office, Wapakoneta, St. Marys and Cridersville police departments and and the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

“If you are going to come to Auglaize County and deal drugs, things are not going to go well for you,” Solomon said in the news release.

The incident remains under investigation.
