Dorothy M. Hittepole

Dorothy M. Hittepole, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:34 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at her residence.

She was born in Botkins, to Joseph and Clara (Freistuhler) Werling, and they preceded her in death.  

On Feb. 17, 1947, she married Chester E. Hittepole Sr., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 21, 2011.

She is survived by two children, Chester E. Hittepole Jr. and Sharon Shoup, both of Wapakoneta; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother; a sister.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law; a grandson and his wife; two sisters.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Wapakoneta, with the Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial is to follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Wapakoneta.  

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the Long & Folk Chapel of Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, 13 S. Blackhoof St., Wapakoneta.
