Doris Ann McConnell, 81

Doris Ann McConnell, 81, of 206 College St., Coldwater, and formerly of Moulton, died at 4:34 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, in Coldwater.

She was born on Oct. 26, 1932, in Moulton, the daughter of Harold and Grace (Line) Hobler.

She married Joseph Robert McConnell on Oct. 20, 1956, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 2000.

She is survived by her three children, Dawn McVety of St. Marys, Pamela (Mark) Mosier of Moulton and Britt (Kim) McConnell of Coldwater, by 11 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, by one brother, Ned (Dottie) Hobler of Moulton and by a brother-in-law, Marvin McConnell of St. Marys.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

She was a graduate of Blume High School in Wapakoneta. Doris was a homemaker, and she enjoyed playing the piano. She had played in a dance band and had also been the church organist at Trinity Lutheran Church in Moulton, where she was a lifelong member.

Private family funeral rites will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys.

Burial rites will be held at New Salem Cemetery.
