Donald H. Leffler, 82

Donald H. Leffler, 82, of Celina, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Lima Memorial Hospital.

He was born on Feb. 9, 1929, in Celina, to Howard and Opal (Lechliter) Leffler, and they preceded him in death.

He married Dorothy Sheets, and she preceded him in death. On Dec. 29, 1979, he married Carolyn Baucher, and she survives him in Celina.

He is also survived by his children, Carol Gorn of Bluffton, S.C., Dean (Sue) Leffler of Yorba Linda, Calif., Pam (Ed) Pitionak of Hilton Head, S.C., Shari (Scott) Shelby of Cincinnati, Mitchell Detrick of Celina and Douglas Detrick of Marietta, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Celina, with the Rev. Jeff Conrad officiating. Burial will be held in North Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Lehman-Hogenkamp-Dzendzel Funeral Home in Celina. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church or to Mercer Health Home Care. Online condolences may be made at LDHfuneralhome.com.
