Dog Parks Closed

July 11, 2013

ST. MARYS — Fallen trees and limbs have forced the closure of two local dog parks until further notice.

Grand Lake St. Marys State Park Manager Brian Miller said Wednesday's storm caused trees throughout Grand Lake St. Marys State Park to fall. The debris forced the closure of East Bank Road as well as the dog parks at the East and West banks.

"We are unsure of how soon we can open them," Miller said. "Our goal is to have both parks opened by the weekend."

Miller asked the public to keep away from the areas to allow crews to clean up the debris without interruptions.
