Deputies Probe Burglary

January 19, 2012

WAPAKONETA — Law enforcement officials are searching the eastern portion of the county for burglary suspects.

In a news release, Auglaize County Sheriff Al Solomon said deputies and detectives from the Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office are currently searching the Buckland area for suspects in a burglary that occurred early this morning.

At approximately 3:03 a.m. today, a passerby noticed someone in the Trupointe business located at 101 Main Street in Buckland and called the sheriff’s office.

Deputies responded along with the Wapakoneta Police K-9 unit and troopers from the Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.  While checking the building an unknown subject fled out of the business and was chased by officers.  He was lost in the area west of Trupointe.

Approximately 15 minutes later, while searching the area, deputies found a subject in a vehicle close to the scene.  He was taken into custody for questioning.

Deputies are still in the area looking for other subjects involved.  The matter remains under investigation.
