David L. Brincefield, 69, of 537 Touvelle St., Celina, died at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on May 18, 1942, in Auglaize County, to Theodore and Leota (Keiber) Brincefield, and they preceded him in death.
He is survived by two daughters, Lorain (Michael) Brincefield-Murray of Washington, D.C. and Kim (Brian) Yahl of St. Marys; a son, David (Sharon) Brincefield of Middle Point; seven grandchildren, David J. Brincefield, Caitlin Baldon, Leah Brincefield-Wermer, Daniel Brincefield, Gabrielle Baldon, Chance Yahl and Hope Yahl; three brothers, Ted (Patty) Brincefield of Lake Havasu, Ariz., Jack Brincefield of Celina and Neal (Connie) Brincefield of Wapakoneta; five sisters, Becky Dysert of St. Marys, Nancy (Melvin) Heidt of Corpus Christi, Texas, Barbara Clark of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Sue Gasson of St. Marys and Brenda Weaver of St. Marys; his former spouse, Shirley Hall of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Robert, Larry, Lewis and Michael Brincefield; a sister, Sarah Lee Brincefield.
He was a retired truck driver from the Mercer Leasing Company in Mercer.
He enjoyed outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting and gardening. Above all, he was most interested in the lives of his grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Brincefield are scheduled at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West), St. Marys, with the Rev. Wayne Prater, officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens near Moulton.
Visitation will be held from 2 p.m to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
