Dale W. Miller, 78

Dale W. Miller, 78, formerly of Garfield St., Minster, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy.

He was born on Jan. 26, 1934, in Cincinnati, to Florence Miller. He was also raised by dear friend Florence Ballard.  

On Nov. 3, 1956, in St. Johns Catholic Curch in Maria Stein, he married Marilyn C. Thobe, and she survives in Piqua.

He is also survived by his children, Kristine (Mike) Gorman of Piqua and Tony (Amy) Miller of Fort Wayne, Ind.; six grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Minster, with the Rev. Rick Nieberding officiating. Burial will take place in St. Augustine Cemetery, with full military honors by the Minster Firing Squad.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
