Crews Repair Water Line Break
ST. MARYS — A water line break along Ohio 703 caused residents in Villa Nova and Sandy Beach areas to be without water for approximately 45 minutes on Wednesday.
At approximately 11:45 a.m., crews were called in to repair a water line break along Ohio 703, between Parker Shady Acres and the railroad. Superintendent of Water Distribution Kevin Schwartz said workers repaired the break with a clamp.
"We had a 10-inch cast iron water line with a radial crack," Schwartz said. "We had the water shutoff for about 45 minutes in that area."
The water was shut off at approximately 1 p.m. and turned back on before 2 p.m.
