Cindy L. Bonifas, 58

Cindy L. Bonifas, 58, of 917 Hager St. in St. Marys, died at 1:40 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at her residence.

She was born on Sept. 13, 1955, in St. Marys, to Bevan and Laura (Chilcoat) Ellis.

On June 6, 1975, in St. Marys, she married Roger L. Bonifas, who survives.

She is also survived by a daughter, Mindy Schimpf-Sherer  of Lima; two sons, Brian Bonifas  of St. Marys and Michael Bonifas of Botkins; eight grandchildren; a brother, Bob "Julio" Ellis  of St. Marys; three sisters, Lori Moyar  of St. Marys, Sandy Sadler of St. Marys and Becky (Andy "Tate") Sell  of St. Marys.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bevan and Laura Ellis; two brothers, Thomas Ellis and Dennis Ellis.

A 1973 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, she also graduated from Ohio State Beauty Academy in Lima, and had obtained her manager's license. She worked as a beautician and provided child-care services in her home.

She was a member and immediate past-president of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 691 auxiliary in Wapakoneta.

Her favorite pastimes included making crafts, collecting M&M's memorabilia and Dreamsicles angels figurines.

Services are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Ohio 703 West Chapel, in St. Marys, the Rev. Robert Warren officiating.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
