Charles C. Bernholt, 77

Charles C. Bernholt, 77, of Celina, died at 3:45 p.m. Friday, June 29, 2012, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.

He was born on Aug. 3, 1934, in Sidney, to Charles Bernholt Sr. and Mildred Gariety, and they preceded him in death.

On Feb. 23, 1963, he married Wanda Stoner, and she survives him.

He is also survived by two sons, Christopher Bernholt of Dublin and Terry (Lori) Bernholt of St. Marys; a daughter, Tiffany (Ray) Loewe of North Port, Fla.; three sisters, Margie (Dennis) Keeling of Celina, Joyce (Lee) Tester of Wabash, Ind., and Marylou (Aldo) Legido of Miami Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

He was a patrolman for the Celina Police Department and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the Korean War.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kenneth Alt, C.PP.S., officiating. Burial will be held in Mercer Memory Gardens in Celina.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Friday at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.

Memorial contributions may be made to the IC Endowment Fund.
