CELINA — A Celina man could face charges for allegedly having $10,000 worth of illegal drugs in his home.

On Aug. 31, the Celina Police Department assisted the Mercer County Adult Probation Office and the Grand Lake Drug Task Force at a check of a probationer’s home located at 902 Sycamore St., Celina. Officers were checking the home of Jerrod Muhlenkamp, 30.

During the initial check of the residence it was determined that illegal drugs were allegedly present in the home. A search warrant was then obtained and the entire residence was checked.

In a news release, Celina Police Chief David Slusser noted officers seized approximately 27 grams of heroin and 7 ounces of marijuana.  The street value of the drugs is estimated at $10,000.

Muhlenkamp was incarcerated in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on a probation violation. The investigation into the drugs being found at the home is continuing and additional charges are possible.
