Carrol T. “Fisch” Fischbach, 81

Carrol T. “Fisch” Fischbach, 81, of St. Marys, died at 7:49 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.  

He was born on Nov. 14, 1931, near Kettlersville.

He was one of 10 children born to Elmer and LaRue (Dodds) Fischbach. His sister Shirley (Laverne) Pax survives in Pickerington, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Siblings preceding him in death were his brothers, Ronald, Paul, Orville, Richard and Rodney Fischbach; and his sisters Bernice Houts, Beverly Moeller and Eleanor Fischbach.

Mr. Fischbach served as a S/Sgt with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of the St. Paul United Church of Christ in New Bremen and a member of the American Legion Post 2510 of Celina and the Mercer County Sportsmans Club.  He retired from the former Goodyear of St. Marys after 42 years of service.

The family will be having private graveside services at the Schwaberow Cemetery, New Bremen.
