Carol M. Stuber, 80

Carol M. Stuber, 80, of 206 W. German St. in New Knoxville, and formerly of Lima, died at 5:42 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, in the emergency department of Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.

She was born on Nov. 27, 1932, in Bellefontaine, to parents James and Eunice (Weatherby) Downing, who preceded her in death.

She married Arthur P. Stuber on Nov. 19, 1949, and he preceded her in death on March 24, 1995.

She is survived by her five children, Arthur (Joan) Stuber Jr. of Champaign, Ill., Janet (Thomas) Jackson of Wapakoneta, Tamara (Ed) Lovett of Sidney, Catherine Stettler of New Knoxville, Scott (Tyrone) Stuber of Aurora, Colo.; by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews; by eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; by her best friend and niece.

Carol was preceded in death by two close family friends; by a son-in-law, Randy Stettler; by three brothers; 10 sisters.

Funeral rites will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, the Rev. Dr. David Williams, officiant.

Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Lima.

A funeral dinner will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday for family and friends of Carol at the Church.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to funeral rites on Wednesday in the Ministry Center of the First United Church of Christ in New Knoxville, where memorial gifts may be made to the Church.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of the Vornholt-Miller Funeral Home, 200 W. Spring St., New Knoxville.
