Cara Ann Young, 47

Cara Ann Young, 47, passed away peacefully at her residence, 814 Coligny Drive, St. Marys, on Thursday, March 13, 2014, after a battle with cardiac amyloidosis.

She was born on Feb. 18, 1967, in Sidney, to Vernon J. and Madonna C. (Post) Huber, and both survive in Maria Stein.

She married William A. Young on April 27, 1995, and he survives at the residence.

Survivors include two sons, Josh and Sam Young of St. Marys; a daughter, Abbie Young of St. Marys; three brothers, Rob (Margaret) Huber of Athens, Tenn.; Tom (Chris) Huber of Versailles and Dick (Elaine) Huber of Minster; three sisters, Mary Jo (Dan) Hess of St. Rose; Jackie (Steve) Henry of St. Henry and Amy (Don) Kemper of Chickasaw; three brothers-in-law, David (Melissa) Young of Concord, N.C.; Dean (Angela) Young of Chicago, Ill.; and Paul (Cynthia) Young of Atlanta, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Beth (Steve) Mielke of St. Marys and Amy (Andrew) Menker of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a 1985 graduate of Marion Local High School and attended Fort Wayne Business College. She later earned her real estate license. Professionally, she worked with Kuck Realty and most recently Cisco Realty in St. Marys. Cara was a dedicated member of  Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, with a strong faith in Jesus Christ. She was an active member, having served on the PTO, Education Commission and Parish Festival Committee.

Cara was a dedicated wife and mother. She enjoyed and cherished every moment she spent with her family. In addition, she was a friend to everyone she met and she was fun-loving, vibrant and full of life.

As our hearts ache for the physical loss of her, we find solace knowing that she is now with God. She is at peace, and for that, we are grateful.

Visitation hours will be from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Cisco Funeral Home, located at 1175 E. Greenville Road, in St. Marys.

There will be a prayer service at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Church in St. Marys, the Rev. Barry Stechschulte and the Rev. Ned Brown officiating.

Burial will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys.
