C. Donald Douglas, 68

C. Donald Douglas, 68, of Wapakoneta, died at 1 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, 2011, at his son’s home in Wapakoneta.

He was born on April 27, 1943, in Long Hollow, W.Va., the son of Miner Cecil and Hattie May (Thornton) Douglas, who preceded him in death. On April 20, 1969, he married Nelia Lou  Hudnall, and she died on July 30, 2008.

He is survived by two sons, Wayne (Amy) Douglas of St. Marys and Brock (Nicole) Douglas of Wapakoneta; by three grandchildren, Ryan, Matthew and Danielle, by four siblings, Archie (Shirley) Douglas of Red House, W.Va., Janet Douglas of Nitro, W.Va., Franklin (Connie)  Douglas of Hometown, W.Va., Keith (Janet) Douglas of Ridge, W.Va.; by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, James Scott Douglas; by two sisters, Arbutis Douglas and Norma Holloway; by two brothers, Cecil Douglas and Park Douglas.

Don had worked 16½ years at Frost Roofing and then for 23½ years at Whitefeather Foods, both of Wapakoneta. A member of the American Pool Players Association, his hobbies included shooting pool, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.     

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Bayliff and Eley Funeral Home, St. Rt. 501, Wapakoneta. Burial is to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
