FT. RECOVERY — A dominant second half propelled Ft. Recovery to a 56-32 victory over fellow Midwest Athletic Conference foe Minster on Friday night.
“They’ve got a lot of weapons on the floor, but when we went dry, (things got bad),” said Minster head coach Mike Lee. “It’s a lot easier putting that thing up when you’re up 10, 12, 14 as opposed to a one, two possession game. They have an outstanding basketball team.”
The Indians hit 24-of-42 (57.1 percent) from the floor for the game, while the Wildcats only made 11-of-41 (26.8 percent).
Gelhaus (20 points), Jared Kahlig (14) and Pottkotter (11) all reached double digits for Ft. Recovery. Elijah Kahlig added 9 points of his own.
Niemeyer led Minster with 15 points.
Minster (5-6) will travel to Anna tonight.
