Bessie R. Oellerman, 82

Bessie R. Oellerman, 82, of 206 E. State St., Botkins, died at 1:20 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on June 19, 1929, in Salem Township, in rural Auglaize County, to John Francis and Bessie Mae (Toler) Jackson, and they preceded her in death.

On April 14, 1956, she married Warren “Gene” Oellerman, and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2002.

She is survived by three daughters, Ruth (Clarence Jr.) Metz of Botkins, Sara (Barry) Arnold of Botkins and Martha (Doug) Stetler of St. Marys; three sons, Bill (Bev) Oellerman of Botkins, John (Judy) Oellerman of Botkins and Ed (Scotti) Oellerman of Botkins; 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, John Francis Oellerman; a sister, Anna Mary Jackson; a sister-in-law, Marjorie R. Oellerman.

She was a graduate of Spencerville High School. She was a homemaker.

Her favorite pastimes included shopping, sewing and crocheting. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Botkins.

Funeral rites are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 301 E. State St., Botkins, with the Rev. Robert Carter officiating.

Burial will follow at Schwaberow Cemetery near Kettlersville.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West Chapel), in St. Marys.

Her body will also lie in state one hour before services on Friday at the church.
