Anne Prueter, 86

Anne Prueter, 86, of 1315 Kimberly Drive, St. Marys, and a longtime resident of Perrysburg, died at 9:46 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at the Gardens of Celina.

She was born on April 4, 1925, in Waynesfield, to P. L. and Addie (Coolidge) Pepple, and they preceded her in death.

On March 23, 1947, she married Albert “Tiny” Prueter, and he preceded her in death on May 22, 2005.

She is survived by her two children, Kay (Richard) Teeters of St. Marys and Kyle (Ann) Prueter of Perrysburg; six grandchildren, Matthew Teeters, Michelle (Garrett) Burns, Joanna Prueter, Matthew Prueter, Sarah (Zach) Boris and Austin Prueter; by six great-grandchildren, Ashlyn Burns, Achyvia Burns, Michael Burns, Kasmir Burns, Andre Burns and Josie Prueter; one sister, Kathleen Chiles of Waynesfield.

Anne was a graduate of Waynesfield High School and the Lima Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse and had worked at Lima Memorial Hospital and Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. She also worked as a fabric consultant at T G and Y.

She was a very active 4-H Leader in both Auglaize and Wood counties.

She was past president of the Perrysburg Swim Team, and she was a Girl Scout leader in St. Marys and Perrysburg.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Perrysburg. She enjoyed camping, was an avid reader and for many years was an election poll worker.

The joy of her life was being with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral rites will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Waynesfield United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kathleen Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., St. Marys.
