Alice J. Gengler, 85

Alice J. Gengler, 85, of Coldwater, died at 6:47 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.

She was born on Nov. 29, 1925, in Dayton, to the late Edward H. and Elnora E. (Borgerding) Kemper, and they preceded her in death.

On June 28, 1952, in St. Henry, she married James N. Gengler, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 2005.

She is survived by six children, Karen Hone of Celina, James and Marie Gengler of Coldwater, Steve and Jenny Gengler of Wapakoneta, Ann and Mike Kendig of Lima, Bob and Kathie Gengler of Covington, and Tracy Gengler of Celina; 18 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister; two brothers.

She was preceded in death by a grandchild; a brother; a sister; three in-laws.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, with the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery in Coldwater.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home-Coldwater.
