Alexander John Fellows, 91

Alexander John Fellows, 91, of Sebring, Fla., passed away on Friday, March 16, 2012, in Tampa, Fla.

He was born on Feb. 16, 1921, to Edward Fellows and Rachel Beetcroft of Melbourne, Australia.

In 1946, he married Theresia Doseck, and she survives him.

He is also survived by four children and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter in 1963 and a son in 2011.

He had resided in Sebring, Fla., since 2003. As a missionary with SIM since late 1945, he served in Sudan. After marrying Theresia Doseck of the SIM in 1946, he served in Ethiopia until his retirement in 1994.

However, they continued serving in short terms in Ethiopia, and while serving in the Sebring area, he worked in the prison ministry until his heart attack in 2006.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday at the SIM Fellowship Hall in Sebring, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 27 at the SIM Chapel in Sebring, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be may made in Alex’s name to the continuation of his work in Ethiopia, c/o SIM 4114 Nigeria St., Sebring, Fla., 33875.
