MINSTER – Brandon Miller tossed a complete game shutout and the Wapakoneta ACME baseball team put together enough key hits at the right time Sunday afternoon the top-seeded Redskins opened the 2012 Auglaize County ACME sectional tournament with a 5-0 victory over New Bremen to begin the double elimination tournament.

“Brandon Miller did a good job and only had to throw about 85 pitches,” Wapakoneta head coach Willie Sammetinger said. “After the first inning you could tell he was in command.”

Wapakoneta moves into the winner’s bracket and will play the winner of Monday’s 5:30 p.m. between St. Marys and Minster.

The Wildcats’ and Roughriders’ game was rained out on Sunday and will start at 5:30 p.m. tonight.

New Bremen will play the loser of the St. Marys-Minster game on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
