25 Years Ago This Week – 1988
For the previous five seasons, the St. Marys Roughriders’ baseball tournament ended before it even had a chance to get started. From 1983-1987, the Roughriders had the door slammed shut on them in the opening game of sectionals, but their fate all changed this week in 1988 when they posted a dramatic 8-5 win over the Bath Wildcats on their home field in Lima.
LIMA — The St. Marys track team had four individual wins at a tri-meet at Shawnee on Tuesday.
