VIDEO: Insider Report On Ohio State's Offensive Woes
The first week of college football wraps up with more questions than answers for Ohio State. Our insider, Dave Miller, joins Shae Peppler to discuss how the Buckeyes' offensive line is adjusting as they get set to square off against Virginia Tech, as well as how South Carolina's defense failed to impress in their season opener.
ST. MARYS — The St. Marys football team gathered on the home sideline, their helmets held high from outstretched arms. They sang at the top of their lungs after slaying a 21-game losing streak with a 71-21 dismantling of the Sidney Yellow Jackets.
For most of the players it was the first time they’d ever celebrated a varsity football win. For Doug Frye, the moment encapsulated why he returned to the home sideline at Skip Baughman Stadium to coach the Roughriders.
FT. LORAMIE – Last season the Minster Wildcats football team suffered a tough loss to the Ft. Loramie Redskins, but Friday night the Wildcats retaliated and shutout the Redskins 34-0, keyed by 283 yards through the air.
“The kids were excited tonight because they put in a lot of work,” Minster head coach Geron Stokes said. “They were excited for this game. We were led tonight by a great group of nine seniors that really care about what we are doing. It is fun but we have a long way to go.”
ST. MARYS — The St. Marys football team welcomed Doug Frye’s return to the home sideline of Skip Baughman Stadium with big play after big play, as the Roughriders outscored Urbana 41-7 in a little over a half of timed football on Friday night in the annual Chicken Bowl.
Eric Spicer scampered in from three yards out to cap the drive after Spicer ripped off 33 yards earlier in the drive on a counter down the right sideline.
