ST. MARYS — Only one 3-pointer went down for the St. Marys boys basketball team all Friday night. It happened to be the one that sparked the Roughriders’ run away from Kenton for a 56-42 Western Buckeye League victory.

ST. MARYS — Three St. Marys natives are revamping a long-standing downtown restaurant.
Generations Cafe, formerly Miller’s, is in makeover mode as Memorial High School graduates Kyle Jones, Josh Owsley and Matt Slife changed the menu and set out to create a restaurant with locally sourced food.
Mary Ann Caldwell, 81, of 12797 State Route 29, St. Marys, died at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on Jan. 23, 1932, in Mercer County, the daughter of Michael and Antoinette (Feipel) Minch.
She married Robert Caldwell on Oct. 9, 1955, and he survives at the residence.
Marcia M. Walls, 79, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013, at Auglaize Acres.
She was born on May 14, 1934, in Shelby County, the daughter of Carl and Mary (Rinehart) Rickert, who preceded her in death.
On Oct. 18, 1953, she married George J. Walls, and he died on Nov. 22, 2005.

Dec. 22: A community supper will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. today at the ROC, 702 E. Spring St., St. Marys. It is eat-in only and the meal is free.

Larry Townsend, 71, of 11251 East Drive, St. Marys, died suddenly on Dec. 18, 2013, at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 11, 1942, in Mendon, the son of Merle and Theo (Brown) Townsend.
He married Janice Dunn on Feb. 28, 2005, and she survives at the residence.
He is survived by his son, Edward Townsend of St. Marys, a stepdaughter, Cherie Boedicker of St. Marys and a stepson, Shannon Boedicker of Celina.
