NEW BREMEN — A festive group of creatures has hit the streets of New Bremen as part of what has now become an annual tradition.
The Pumpkin People are officially out today in New Bremen, adding fall spirit to the storefronts around the village.

NEW BREMEN – A light seemed to go on for the New Bremen Cardinals volleyball team as the second set of the third match began Saturday.
In a tri-match against the Covington Buccaneers and Anna Rockets the Cardinals defeated Covington 24-26, 25-15 and 25-16 and they defeated Anna 15-25, 25-20 and 25-17. Anna defeated Covington in the second match 25-18, 23-25 and 25-20.
WAPAKONETA — An Auglaize County man died Saturday night from injuries suffered in a crash along County Road 33A.
According to a news release from Wapakoneta Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded to a crash at 11:57 p.m. Saturday along County Road 33A, east of Bay Road.
Harold L. Suchland, 90, died at 1:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at the St. Marys Living Center.
Arrangements are incomplete and being handled by the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home of New Bremen.
Garrett Rhodes, 21, of Wapakoneta, died on Saturday night, Sept. 17, 2011, at the scene of a single-vehicle crash in rural Auglaize County.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller – Long and Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., St. Marys.
Phyllis L. Oda, 84, of Minster, died at 8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital.
She was born on July 11, 1927, in Piqua, to Bernard and Blanche I. (Davis) Fronda, and they preceded her in death.
On Dec. 7, 1946, in Piqua, she married Harold E. Oda, and he survives in Minster.
She is also survived by her daughters, Kathy Oda, Diane (Doug) McGlaughlin and Alice Lawrence, all of Minster; a daughter-in-law; two sisters; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Dorothy J. Bader, 81, of Rockford, died at 1:24 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at the Gardens in Celina.
She was born on Jan. 9, 1930, in Mercer County, to Edwin and Frona Bollenbacher, and they preceded her in death.
On Feb. 28, 1953, she married Robert E. Bader, and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2005.
She is survived by two sons, Art Bader of Rockford and Jim (Lori) Bader of Celina; a sister; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother; a sister.
James R. Berning, 75, of West Main Street, Fort Loramie, passed away of natural causes early Sunday morning, Sept. 18, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on Dec. 28, 1935, in McCartyville, to Herbert and Dorothy (Howe) Berning, and they preceded him in death.
On Sept. 26, 1959, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie, Jim married Carol Ann (Vogelsang) Berning, and she preceded him in death on June 6, 2010.
Eunice M. Kohlreiser, 79, of 1523 Klosterman Lane, St. Marys, died at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011, at the St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on May 13, 1932, in New Knoxville, to Erbin and Luetta (Piepmeyer) Stienecker, and they preceded her in death.
On Aug. 11, 1951, she married Robert L. Kohlreiser Sr., and he survives in St. Marys.
