ST. MARYS — Santa Fe Line Road, between Fairmount Road and Buckland Holden Road, will be closed until further notice because of bridge repairs.

Celina head boys basketball coach Chris Bihn has resigned from the position after 125 wins in 10 seasons.
Bihn went 125-103 over 10 seasons at the Mercer County school.
Bihn led Celina to its first district title in 36 years back in 2010 before falling a game shy of a final four berth. This past season, Celina won another district title with a 48-29 victory over St. Marys at Liberty-Benton before losing to eventual state champion Defiance in a regional semifinal at BGSU.

St.Marys improved to 3-0 in the Western Buckeye League behind a combined shutout by Derek Jay and Joe Pfenning. Dustin Howell drove in two runs for the Riders while Isaac Fitzgerald and Nathan Wilker each had an RBI. Ausitn Quellhorst added two hits.

Marion Local rededicated its newly refurbished ballpark, but it was Josh Nixon who stole the show on Friday. Nixon struck out 12 in a complete game win.

ST. MARYS — City crews dumped rip rap along the banks of the St. Marys River on Thursday.
ST. MARYS — A basesment fire damaged a home in St. Marys Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 11 a.m. Wednesday, crews from the St. Marys Fire Department arrived at 542 N. Front St. on a report of a basement fire. Crews quickly attacked the flames. Witnesses at the scene told The Evening Leader everyone got out of the home safely.
