Julia Swanson Woods, 67, of 605 Royal Oak Drive, St. Marys and formerly of Englewood, Fla., died at 12:05 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on Sept. 6, 1946, in Toledo, the daughter of Henry and Barbara (Stone) Swanson.
She married Edward Lee Woods on Nov. 16, 1969, in Huntington, W.Va., and he preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2012.
Susan Marie Walker, 56, of Knox, Ind., passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2014.
She was born on Dec. 12, 1957, in Dayton, to Walter and Rita (Axe) Miley.
Susan attended Valparaiso University and Bethel College receiving a BSN in nursing. She had been a longtime employee at Starke Memorial Hospital in Knox, Ind., as a trauma care nurse and had also worked as a surgical nurse and critical care nurse.

Eileen M. Boerger, 88, of New Bremen, died at 6:12 a.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on May 26, 1926, in Newport, the daughter of John and Mary (Moorman) Perin.
On Nov. 25, 1948, she married Ralph Boerger who survives in New Bremen.
Verona C. Reineke, 80, of New Bremen died at 7:44 p.m. Monday, June 9, 2014, at her residence after a short battle with pancreatic cancer.
She was born on April 14, 1934, in New Bremen to the late Alfred and Helen (Fark) Sudman. On Nov. 17, 1956, she married Elwood Reineke in Kettlersville, and he preceded her in death in May 1979.
Survivors include her children Steve and Karen Reineke, of Piqua, Larry Reineke, of Sidney, and Julie and Rob Countryman, of Mason, eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ruth and Bob Koverman of Troy.
ST. MARYS — Law enforcement officials continue to investigate the death of an Auglaize County man who was found dead in his home Monday afternoon.
Charles E. Hicks, 53, of Uniopolis, was found dead inside his home after deputies were dispatched to 2 S. Main St., Uniopolis, at 4:30 p.m. Monday for a welfare check. Hicks reportedly was not recently seen by coworkers and friends.
Connie S. Yahl, 67, of 02764 Salem Noble Road, St. Marys, died at 7:53 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2014, at her residence, following a brief illness.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1946, in Sidney, the daughter of Clifford and Mildred (Stiles) Elsass.
She married Joseph J. Yahl on June 17, 1967, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, and he survives at the residence.
ST. MARYS — Investigators are currently probing a suspicious death in the village of Uniopolis.
According to a news release, deputies from the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office were dispatched at 4:30 p.m. Monday to 2 S. Main St., Uniopolis. A caller requested a welfare check on a 54-year-old, white male because he had not recently been seen by coworkers or friends.
CELINA — An Indiana man was arrested Monday night following a slow-speed pursuit involving a farm tractor.
Mercer County Central Dispatch received a call from Adams County (Indiana) at 8:34 p.m. Monday requesting assistance with trying to stop a Case International 5130 Farm Tractor. Adams County also reported the tractor had struck several vehicles and did property damage while in Indiana. They further reported the operator rammed an Adams County Sheriff’s cruiser while a deputy was trying to get the tractor stopped.
COLUMBUS — The Minster girls 4-by-400 meter relay team finished off the state track meet with an exciting race to the finish line.
The Minster 1600 meter relay team’s senior anchor Olivia Enneking stormed near the front of the pack on the final lap and got to within half a stride of first-place Archbold for the final 100 meters.
