NEW KNOXVILLE — Deb Eschmeyer — a New Knoxville farmer, community organizer, co-op director and founder of a nationally recognized program to affect school lunches called Food Corps. — was selected to serve as Executive Director of First Lady Michelle Obama's Let's Move! initiative this week.
Deb Eschmeyer also co-founded Food Corps on Earth Day in 2009 with a group of people passionate about getting fresh food in cafeterias and education about how food is grown to students through Americorps volunteers.
