MINSTER — High school football teams almost everywhere meet near the goalline after games in communal celebration or shared misery.
Usually the players take a knee and hear one voice — that of the head coach. Depending on the outcome, that speech is usually either irate or inspiring.
The Minster Wildcats take a different tact.
The Wildcats' smashmouth toughness on the field may be traditional, but Minster lets everyone share in the responsibility of talking after games in a way that's pretty far from old school.

50 Years Ago This Week – 1961
In the opening weekend of the 1961-62 boys’ basketball season, the New Bremen Cardinals traveled to Celina and locked horns with the Celina Immaculate Conception Spartans at the Celina Fieldhouse.
New Bremen’s Dan Nedderman hit 11 field goals and four free throws in the contest to lead all scorers with 26 points.
Jim Fark added 24, while Fledderjohn contributed 12 points in the battle which New Bremen won 69-63.
MINSTER — Playing last week at Springfield made getting hit a little more painful than usual for the Minster Wildcats.
Minster rolled to a 48-13 win over Catholic Central, but a couple Wildcats said at times hitting the ground was the most physical part of the game on a field left almost barren of grass from flooding.
“At Springfield, you fall on the ground on your knees and it hurts,” Minster’s Ryan Bornhorst said. “It’s almost like falling on concrete. It was dirt with patches of grass.”
