New Knoxville 50, Spencerville 27
NEW KNOXVILLE — The New Knoxville girls basketball team got out to a 10-0 lead against Spencerville and went on to nearly double-up the Bearcats in a 50-27 victory on Tuesday night.
The Rangers had their offense going from the opening tip as they scored 10 straight points, including three layups, in the first three minutes of the game.
Paige Lehman led the Rangers with 12 points. Haley Horstman added 11 points.

Erika Thornsberry, Lipscomb
NASHVILLE — Erika Thornsberry, a Lipscomb freshman and St. Marys Memorial grad, scored eight points and grabbed two rebounds in Lipscomb’s 76-65 win over Gardner-Webb on Sunday afternoon in the Bisons’ final game before the new year. Thornsberry went 3-for-5 from the floor in 14 minutes. Thornsberry averages 4.4 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

St. Marys 45, Coldwater 34
St. Marys senior guard D.J. Manning exploded for 20 points on 5-of-5 shooting from beyond the three-point arc and St. Marys pulled away from Coldwater in the second half on Saturday night at Murotech Court.
J.D. Meyer added 13 points for the Roughriders.
Austin Bruns led Coldwater with 12 points.
Minster 44, Fort Loramie 43
MINSTER — Claire Fischer drained a free throw with five seconds left to give Minster a 44-43 win over rival Fort Loramie on Saturday afternoon at Minster.
Minster rallied back from a deficit in the third quarter with a big run spurred by Bridget Geiger and Tara Clune.
Clune scored a team-high 14 points (eight of those in the second half) and Geiger added 12 points for the Wildcats (10 of those in the third quarter and all 12 in the second half).

The St. Marys boys basketball team started another game off sluggishly, spotting the Kenton Wildcats 10 points to start Friday night’s Western Buckeye League opener.
This time the Roughriders awoke from the slumber in time to pick up their first victory of the season.

MINSTER — Minster’s defense again did the job. The offense couldn’t muster much help.
Delphos St. John’s defeated Minster 39-22 in a Midwest Athletic Conference match-up on Friday night.
