MINSTER — Minster senior Adam Niemeyer has only pitched 22 innings so far this season. Minster head coach Mike Wiss knows he needs his top pitcher fresh for games like the one on Tuesday night.
Minster’s ace and future Buckeye came through in the Wildcats’ biggest game to date.
Niemeyer struck out eight in a two-hit shutout to lead the Minster baseball team to a 2-0 win over Coldwater in a Midwest Athletic Conference showdown at Hanover Street Park.
April 30th
MINSTER — With a few gift runs in the first couple innings the Minster softball team put the ball in play and defeated the New Bremen Cardinals 6-1 Monday in a MAC game played at Minster.
The first three runs for the Wildcats were unearned due to errors.

ST. MARYS — St. Marys’ sputtering offense broke out in a big way against its biggest rival.
St. Marys exploded for a seven-run fourth inning and earned its first win of the season over Celina 10-5 at K.C. Geiger Park on Thursday.

Rangers have big nights at St. Henry
Andrew Mackie had a perfect night for the New Knoxville boys track team at a quad at St. Henry on Tuesday. Mackie won the 100 meter dash, 200 meter dash, 400 meter dash, and the high jump.
On the girls side Cassie Boyle had a perfect night winning both the mile and 200 meter dash. Haley Horstman won the 100 and 300 meter hurdles.
NEW KNOXVILLE — It took an extra inning but the New Bremen Cardinals were able to outlast the New Knoxville Rangers in the opening MAC game for each team 3-2 in eight innings Tuesday in New Knoxville.
“We kept battling and battling,” Cardinals head coach Josh Bowersock said. “We hit a couple balls early right on the screws but they were hit right at their guys, but in the later innings were kept after them and I think they did a very good job of that.”
MINSTER — Parkway stayed close with Minster for four innings, but some walks, wild pitches and an error gave the Wildcats a chance to break things open in the fifth inning with two outs.
Minster didn’t miss that opportunity. Parkway missed a handful of them.
Devon Poeppelman went the distance on the mound, Ethan Wolf and Adam Niemeyer delivered a pair of RBI hits and Minster put things away late in a 7-1 win over Parkway on Tuesday at Hanover Street Park.

MINSTER — The Minster baseball team did whatever it took to get runs across against Delphos St. John's. It doesn’t take many when senior pitcher Adam Niemeyer is going like he was on Monday.
