50 Years Ago This Week – 1963
This week in 1963, the New Bremen Cardinals nearly hit the century mark in an easy defeat over Cridersville.
Powered by 21 points from Fark and Froning, the Cardinals pounced on Cridersville early and never let up in a 92-37 victory. Fledderjohn and Busse also scored in double-digits for New Bremen with 15 and 11 points respectively in a battle that started with New Bremen in command only 15-11 at the end of the first period.
WAYNESFIELD — The Waynesfield- Goshen girls basketball team likes to get a shot up within the first few seconds of every offensive possession. New Knoxville will pass the ball around for 15 passes before finding an open shot in its methodical half-court sets.
With time on it side, New Knoxville’s patience won out.
