CELINA — The Celina volleyball team won 12 of the first 13 points of Thursday night’s volleyball rivalry match with St. Marys and never looked back.
Celina built comfortable leads in the first two set and then rallied back from a seven-point deficit in the third set to earn the 25-12, 25-18, 25-21 win at West School in Celina on Thursday.
St. Marys sophomore Carter Bowman sailed through his first nine holes with a three-under par 33. He led by six shots over Van Wert’s Jake Brake and by three over Tyler Turnwald at the turn.
But Northmoor showed its teeth on Bowman’s final nine holes and put up quite a fight against the Western Buckeye League’s best golfers.
