CELINA — Wapakoneta's Caleb Acheson never appeared to be in control on any of the four sudden death playoff holes to decide second place at the Celina Bulldog Invitational at Fox's Den on Friday.
He was the last of the four players standing four playoff holes later thanks to his stellar short game and scrambling ability, however.
ST. MARYS — Greenville downed the St. Marys girls tennis team 5-0 on Friday morning.
"I told the girls that top to bottom this is probably the best team we'd face this year," St. Marys head coach Brice Brenneman said. "I knew they were good, but they were even a little better than I thought."
Greenville's Sophia Navas-Davis defeated St. Marys' Katie Peterson, 6-2, 6-0 at first singles.
Michelle Borgerding beat St. Marys' Emily Brown at second singles, 6-2, 6-1.
