OMAHA, Neb. — Josh Fleagle finished 133rd in the 50-meter freestyle with a 23.77-second time at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Omaha, Nebraska, on Saturday.
The home school student from rural St. Marys who has already started classes at Ohio State this summer said he knew this year’s trials were about getting his feet wet.
The 18-year old future Buckeye swimmer has his eyes on 2016 as his best chance at the Olympics.
MINSTER – Brandon Miller tossed a complete game shutout and the Wapakoneta ACME baseball team put together enough key hits at the right time Sunday afternoon the top-seeded Redskins opened the 2012 Auglaize County ACME sectional tournament with a 5-0 victory over New Bremen to begin the double elimination tournament.
“Brandon Miller did a good job and only had to throw about 85 pitches,” Wapakoneta head coach Willie Sammetinger said. “After the first inning you could tell he was in command.”
