DELPHOS — A 9-2 run in the final three minutes of the third quarter was what put the Delphos St. John’s Bluejays over the top as they defeated the New Bremen Cardinals Lady basketball team 38-30 Thursday evening in a MAC contest played at Delphos.
“We stayed with them,” Cardinals head coach Randy Eckert said. “We just had a few mental mistakes that cost us a few points. Our shot selection wasn’t the greatest at the end, but we have to shoot more and try to score.”
MINSTER — Minster dominated the second quarter in a 62-44 victory over Versailles in a Midwest Athletic Conference match-up on Thursday night.
“I think it was a team effort,” said Minster head coach Nann Stechschulte. “We tried to take away their strengths.”
Tara Clune led the Wildcats, who had 10 different players score, with 18 points.
