The New Bremen ACME baseball team got the bats out early and behind the pitching of Aaron Clune and Cody Wendel the Cardinals defeated Ft. Loramie 10-2 Tuesday evening at New Bremen.
Alec Frideger tripled twice for New Bremen, with Cody Wendel and Ethan Elshoff both collected two RBI hits apiece.

St. Marys 8, Minster 3
MINSTER — The script stayed the same for the second straight night for St. Marys — jump out early with the bats and keep adding on.
D.J. Manning and Nick Vogel each collected three hits, Tyler Roby and Brad Sawmiller held Minster’s bats to just two hits through the first six innings and the St. Marys ACME baseball team won 8-3 at Minster on Tuesday night.

MINSTER — Ashley Wilt's advice for anyone finishing 100 holes of golf? Don't schedule more golf activities later that day.
Wilt, the PGA professional at Arrowhead Golf Club in Minster, will play 100 holes on Monday, June 20 to raise money for the Make a Wish Foundation and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of America. All money will be sent to Ohio only chapters.

Ohio state senator Keith Faber honored the St. Marys girls bowling team on the floor of the senate recently for its state championship.
CELINA — The St. Marys ACME baseball team jumped out early against its first Mercer County foe and then rallied late in its second to leave Celina with a pair of satisfying wins on Saturday.
The Roughriders swept their two round robin tourney wins at Celina with a 11-4 thumping of Coldwater in the afternoon game and a 5-1 comeback win over Celina in the nightcap at Montgomery Field.

Area high school basketball schedules will be a little more packed in the near future.
The Ohio High School Athletic Association board of directors on Thursday voted to expand the high school basketball season to 22 games for the 2012-13 season.
Currently, teams in Ohio are able to play up to 20 games. The length of the season itself will not be expanded.
