December 29th
Kay I. Guyer, 57, formerly of 00855 Noble Road, St. Marys, died at 7:27 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at St. Marys Living Center.
She was born on July 5, 1954, in Huntingdon, Pa., to J. Ralph and Irene (Rutherford) Bowser, and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by a son, Charles Guyer of Huntingdon, Pa.; two grandsons.
Private family services will be held. Burial will take place in Huntingdon, Pa.

Harold “Shep” Simon, 86, of Russia, died at 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 25, 2011, surrounded by his loving wife and eight children.
He was born on July 8, 1925, in Russia, to Alfred L. and Christine (Monnier) Simon, and they preceded him in death.
On Nov. 20, 1948, at St. Michael Catholic Church in Fort Loramie, he married Martha Bollheimer, and she survives him in Russia.

Lola Brautigam, 83, of Wapakoneta, died at 4:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
Arrangements are incomplete at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
Sue Gasson, 62, of 909 Motz St., St. Marys, died at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on Nov. 26, 1949, the daughter of Leota (Keiber) Brincefield, and her mother preceded her in death.
On June 17, 1967, she married Paul Gasson, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 7, 2011.
December 26th
Esther Seger, 90, of 10 Louie St., Fort Loramie, died on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Wilson Memorial Hospital in Sidney.
She was born on Oct. 11, 1921, in Fort Loramie, to Joseph and Cecilia (Wuebker) Seger, and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by 58 nieces and nephews; a brother-in-law.
She was preceded in death by 10 siblings.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, with the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery in Fort Loramie.
Verlin W. Hirschfeld, 93, of New Bremen, died at 10:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at the Convalarium at Indian Run in Dublin.
He was born on Jan. 6, 1918, on a small farm west of New Bremen that was shared by his parents, Edward G. and Emma A. (Oberwitte) Hirschfeld and his grandparents, and they preceded him in death.
On July 5, 1942, he married Enola Luedeke, and she survives in Dublin.
December 23rd
Mary Dorothy “Pat” Buckloh Sink, 82, of Findlay, died at 9:20 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, at her residence.
She was born on March 17, 1929, in New Bremen, to the late Frank and Marie (Dicke) Buckloh.
She graduated from New Bremen High School and earned an associate’s degree from Bowling Green State University.
December 21st
Rea M. Bowersock, 95, of rural Spencerville, died at 11:03 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at St. Rita’s Medical Center.
She was born on April 25, 1916, in Union Township, the daughter of Isaac and Pearl Irelan Shank, and they preceded her in death.
On Oct. 5, 1932, she married G. Harold Bowersock, and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2008.
Irene P. Sommer, 84, of East Fourth Street, Minster, died on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. She had been a resident there for 13 years.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1927, in Coldwater, to William and Anna Schoenlein, and they preceded her in death.
On Oct. 19, 1946, in Minster, she married Fred F. Sommer, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 22, 1996.
