Leo Helentjaris, 89, of Celina, died at 1:20 a.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, of natural causes.
He was born on Oct. 13, 1923, in Dayton, to parents Thomas Helentjaris and Lillian Bailey, both of whom preceded him in death.
On Aug. 30, 1947, he married Henrietta White, who preceded him in death on April 25, 1912.
Joan A. Eilerman, 78, of Fort Loramie, died at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Dorothy Love Retirement Community.
She was born on May 8, 1934, in Maria Stein to the late Edward J. and Olivia (Brunswick) Bergman.
She married Donald P. Eilerman on Oct. 6, 1954, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1994.
Glen S. “Grinny” Fox, 89, of Celina, died at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Van Wert County Hospital of natural causes.
He was born on Sept. 14, 1923, in Mendon, to parents Pete Fox and Hazel Stewart, both of whom preceded him in death.
He married his first wife, Dorothy Fox, on Feb. 8, 1945, and she preceded him in death in Nov. 1985.
On Sept. 6, 1993, he married Kathy Clay Fast Fox, who survives.
April 4th
James V. Rosengarten, 65, of Celina, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 5, 1948, in Celina, to the late Florian Rosengarten and Martha (Grisez) Rosengarten who survives in Celina.
April 3rd
Thomas J. Froning, 95, of Elmwood of New Bremen, formerly of Second Street, Minster, died at 6:18 p.m. Monday, April 1, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1918, in Minster, to the late Bernard and Philomena M. (Droesch) Froning.
He married Bernadine F. Poeppelman on Jan. 19, 1946, in Minster. She preceded him in death on Feb. 18, 1993.
April 2nd
Todd V. Mallory, 52, died at 12:41 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay.
He was born on Feb. 24, 1961, in St. Marys, to parents Vernon "Bud," who survives in St. Marys, and Mary Jane (Kelley) Mallory, who preceded him in death.
He is also survived by his former wife, Jami (Furbee) Mallory, of Fort Wayne, Ind. and by his girlfriend, Marcelle Ranes of Findlay.
Sue A. Fox, 72, of Wapakoneta, passed away at 11:50 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born on Oct. 13, 1940, in Dayton, the daughter of James and Martha (Kipker) Williams. Her mother survives in Land O’Lakes, Fla., and her father is deceased.
On Aug. 18, 1962, she married the Rev. Larry Fox, and he survives in Wapakoneta. She was actively involved with him in his pastoral ministry for 50 years.
Larry Sattler, 62, of Celina, died at 7:45 a.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013, at his residence of natural causes.
He was born on July 21, 1950, in Carson City, Mich., to parents Leonard J. Sattler and Josephine Babe Hiner, both of whom preceded him in death.
On Oct. 5, 1968, he married Barbara Hawkey, who survives in Celina.
April 1st
Melvin E. Luthman, 78, of Botkins, died at 10:05 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born on Dec. 30, 1934, in Sidney, to the late Bernard and Amelia (Raterman) Luthman.
He married Agnes Esser on Oct. 10, 1959, in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, McCartyville. She survives in Botkins.
Marcedis Miller, 82, formerly of Celina, died at 8:20 a.m. Friday, March 29, 2013, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1930, in Auglaize County to Russell and Mabel (Parke) Young.
Survivors include three sons, Donald Dale (June) Bricker of Wapakoneta, Russell Bricker of Las Vegas, Nev. and Greg (Shirley) Bricker of Zephyrhills, Fla.; a daughter, Rebecca (Rex) Miller of Rockford; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother.
