Elizabeth J. “Betty” Schmidt, 83, of Mendon, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Oct. 24, 1928, in Geneva, Ind., to Glen and Hazel (Morgan) Grogg, and they preceded her in death.
On Sept. 3, 1988, she married Bennett “Ben” Schmidt, and he survives.
Ray D. High, 88, of Mendon, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Feb. 15, 1924, in Union Township, to Ray R. and Mamie Ruth (Spicer) High, and they preceded him in death.
On June 19, 1960, he married Glenda Colwell, and she survives.
He is also survived by a son, Larry Joe (Julie) High of Fort Wayne; two daughters, Debra Lee Conway of Fort Wayne and Renee (Richard) Flanary of Celina; two brothers; his mother-in-law; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
E. Lucille Bushong Eichhorn, 86, of Wapakoneta, died at 8:41 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Otterbein-Cridersville. Arrangements are incomplete at the Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home, Wapakoneta.
Annabel E. Wagner, 101, of New Bremen, died at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2012, at the Otterbein Senior Lifestyle Choices of St. Marys.
She was born on Dec. 22, 1910, in New Bremen, the daughter of Alfred H. and Louise (Schroeder) Scheer, and they preceded her in death.
On Nov. 28, 1935, she married Alvin “Pete” Wagner, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 20, 1980.

Rita Jean (Scheblo) Wilfong, 63, of Holt, Mich., formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 10:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1948, in Lima, to John A. and Esther L. (West) Scheblo, and they preceded her in death.
On Sept. 30, 1972, she married Michael A. Wilfong, and he survives.
She is also survived by a brother; 24 nieces and nephews; 34 great-nieces and great-nephews.
Marcille May Cole Oakman, 85, formerly of Waynesfield, died on Monday, March 5, 2012, at her residence in Wauchula, Fla.
She was born on April 16, 1926, in Cridersville, to Herman and Anna Walti Dawson, and they preceded her in death.
In 1947, she married Russell Eugene Cole, and he preceded her in death in 1956. On July 2, 1989, she married Robert D. Oakman, and he survives.
Bernard D. “Bernie” McCarty, 84, of Wapakoneta, died at 12:42 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at Wapakoneta Manor.
He was born on March 21, 1927, in a farm home in Marion Township, Hardin County, to Hobart and Francis (Fields) McCarty, and they preceded him in death.
On June 8, 1947, he married Mary Ann Copeland, and she survives.
He is also survived by a son, Ronald J. McCarty of Wapakoneta; two sisters; several nieces and nephews;
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Berniece I. Henning, 82, of 14210 State Route 116, St. Marys, died at 5:26 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012. at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on March 31, 1929, in Celina, to Charles and Nellie (McDonald) Boice, and they preceded her in death.
On Feb. 28, 1948, in Covington, Ky., she married Edwin R. Henning, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2002.

Victor McKinney, 63, of St. Marys, died on Monday, March 5, 2012, at Golden Living Center – Valley.
Arrangements are being completed with the Miller – Long & Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Althea S. Ruedebusch, 90, of Wapakoneta, died at 11:30 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at The Gardens, Wapakoneta.
She was born on April 13, 1921, in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Eugene and Lillia (Weifenbach) Slattery, and they preceded her in death.
On Sept. 6, 1952, she married Norman F. Ruedebusch, and he preceded her in death on March 22, 1999.
