Margaret L. Rider, 80, of 160 Watercrest Drive, St. Marys, died at 11:05 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Sept. 12, 1931, in Rossburg, to Jesse and Edith (Compton) Ross, and they preceded her in death.
On June 27, 1953, at Shook’s Chapel in Darke County, she married Allen L. Rider, and he survives.
February 28th
Dean Rhoades, 89, of Bradenton, Fla., died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1922, to Glen and Glady (Keiber) Rhoades.
He is survived by his wife Shirley (Fryer); two sons Dale and Gary; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
Dean had three brothers, Vernon, who is deceased, Charles, who survives in Greenwood, S.C., and his twin brother Gene, who survives in St. Marys.
He was preceded in death by a son, Doug.
He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War.

Kathryn “Kitty” B. Luecke, 92, of 120 S. West St., St. Marys, died at 7 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 26, 2012, at Otterbein — St. Marys.
She was born on March 3, 1919, in St. Marys Township, Auglaize County, to Elmer and Mary (White) Youngs, and they preceded her in death.
On Oct. 18, 1956, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Marys, she married Rodney S. Luecke, and he survives.
Ron Brumbaugh, 62, of Brookville, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
He was born on Nov. 25, 1949, to Charles Russell and Naomi Mae (Uhrig) Brumbaugh.
He is survived by his sisters and brother-in-law, Denise Henderson of Brookville and Karen and Nick Ranly of Minster; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Potsdam Church of the Brethren, 22 E. Cross St., Potsdam, with the Rev. Robert Kurtz officiating.

Robert W. Springer, 95, of Wapakoneta, died at 10:05 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Sept. 29, 1916, in St. Marys, the son of Clarence W. and Kathryn (Makley) Springer, and they preceded him in death.
On Nov. 23, 1940, he married Roma M. Walters, and she preceded him in death on Nov. 4, 1995.
Robert Dieringer, 91, of Social Circle, Ga., died at 4:14 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, his residence.
He was born on Friday, June 25, 1920, in St. Marys, the son of Frank Dieringer and Minnie Wieser Dieringer, and they preceded him in death.
On Aug. 1, 1946, Robert married Gladys Louise Hundley, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 1996. They had been married for 50 years.
Charles “Chuck” Engle, 72, of Celina, died at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 29, 1939, in Kodak, Ky., to Benjamin Engle and Marie Sumner, and they preceded him in death.
On Dec. 2, 1961, he married Joan Murray, and she survives him.
He is also survived by a son, Charles Engle Jr. of St. Marys; a daughter, Karen (Charles) Tester of Celina; five brothers; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Robert Dieringer, 91, of Social Circle, Ga., died at 4:14 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at his residence.
Born on June 25, 1920, in St. Marys. He was the son of the late Frank Dieringer and the late Minnie Wieser Dieringer..
February 24th
Miriam E. Engh, 94, a resident of Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community, and formerly of 1614 Brown’s Lake Drive, Burlington, Wis., died at 8:46 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Otterbein-St. Marys.
She was born on Aug. 8, 1917, in Westville, Okla., the daughter of Bert and Nevada (Sparks) Neel.
She married Raymond K. Engh on Jan. 6, 1945, in Tulsa, Okla., and he preceded her in death on July 20, 1996.
