Richard C. “Dick” Weisenbarger, 79, of 801 Oliver St., St. Marys, and formerly of Van Wert, died on Friday, Aug. 19, 2011, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton following a brief illness.
He was born on Dec. 29, 1931, in Darke County, the son of Wilbur and Mabel (Carmony) Weisenbarger.
He married Izez Weadock Ankerman on May 22, 1993, and she survives at the residence.
August 17th
Damon Springer, 16, of 9676 State Route 127, Celina, died on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at Wayne Hospital in Greenville.
He was born on Oct. 24, 1994, in Knox County, to James Springer of Celina and Amy (Duane) Willey of Danville, and they survive him.
He is also survived by a brother, Andrew Springer; a sister, Beth Shafer; his grandparents, Don and Dorothy Springer of Celina, James Frye of Mount Vernon and Mike and Bonnie Swingley of Howard; his great-grandparents, William and Evelina Frye of Howard.
He was preceded in death by two uncles; two cousins.
Donald H. Leffler, 82, of Celina, died at 4:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Feb. 9, 1929, in Celina, to Howard and Opal (Lechliter) Leffler, and they preceded him in death.
He married Dorothy Sheets, and she preceded him in death. On Dec. 29, 1979, he married Carolyn Baucher, and she survives him in Celina.
August 16th
Robert J. Bayham, 95, of 04370 Poppe Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, at his residence.
He was born on March 14, 1916, in Dayton, the son of Frank and Flora (Hobler) Bayham, and they preceded him in death.
On Jan. 5, 1946, he married Cecilia M. Bochenek, and she preceded him in death on Oct. 3, 2008.
August 15th
Marie Duerr Eichenauer, 88, of Celina, died at 2:40 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at the Celina Manor Nursing Home.
She was born on Sept. 13, 1922, in Adrian, Mich., to Kenneth and Eva (Leonard) Sheldon, and they preceded her in death.
In 1940, she married Elwin H. Duerr Sr., and he preceded her in death on July 27, 1978. She later married Russell K. Eichenauer, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1995.
Donna Mae Bergman, 51, of 147 Hanover St., Minster, died at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, in the emergency room at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born on Sept. 20, 1960, in Coldwater, to Ralph and Mary Ann (Riethman) Wenning, and her father preceded her in death. Her mother survives her in Maria Stein.
On July 31, 1982, at St. John Church in Maria Stein, she married Vernon W. Bergman, and he survives her.
She is also survived by her six siblings; two sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law.
August 12th
Levaun M. Pleiman, 89, of Celina, died at 1:43 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at The Gardens at Celina.
She was born on Sept. 4, 1921, in Celina, to George J. and Anna Marie (Fullenkamp) Pleiman, and they preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters; 13 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers; a sister; two brothers-in-law; a niece.
Carl R. “Dick” Heil, 92, of Cridersville, formerly of Wapakoneta, died at 12:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, at Otterbein-Cridersville.
He was born on Nov. 21, 1918, in Auglaize County, the son of Herbert and Emma (Cook) Heil, and they preceded him in death.
On July 10, 1945, he married Lanetta Mills, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 4, 1977. On Dec. 22, 1984, he married Mary E. Shaw, and she survives him.
August 11th
Susan L. Warner, 52, of 207 S. Franklin St., New Bremen, died on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, at her residence of natural causes.
She was born on May 19, 1959, in St. Marys, to Karl and Evelyn (Gieseke) Warner.
She is survived by her sister, Carole (Larry) (Warner-Eversman) LaVeen of Sidney; a nephew, Allen (Kim) Eversman of Wapakoneta; one great-nephew; one great-niece.
Betty L. Schroer, 88, of 519 Westhaven Drive, New Bremen, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.
She was born on Jan. 21, 1923, in St. Marys, to Virgil and Malinda (Gieseke) Horn.
On Sept. 25, 1955, she married Curtis Schroer, and he survives her in New Bremen.
She is also survived by her son, Dwight Schroer of New Bremen; a daughter, Kathleen (Eugene) Aufderhaar of Bluffton.
