James R. Ruck, 76, of 17353 Maier-Barber Road, St. Marys, died at 3:52 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born on June 4, 1938, in Findlay, the son of Alfred and Helen (Gross) Ruck.
He married Lois Tarbox on Dec. 22, 1957, in Defiance, and she preceded him in death on Dec. 14, 2013.
Velma M. Bergman, 92, of Maria Stein, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at The Gardens of St. Henry.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1922, in Egypt to the late Joseph and Cecelia (Wehrman) Prenger.
She married Herbert R. Bergman on Nov. 18 1941, in Egypt. He preceded her in death on Nov. 12, 2003.
Milo R. Keith, 79, of 11924 State Route 29, New Knoxville, died at 9:35 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at Otterbein St. Marys Retirement Community.
He was born on June 2, 1935, in Van Wert, the son of Milo and Alice (Wyandt) Keith.
He married Helen Mace on Oct. 10, 1954, in Van Wert, and she survives at the residence.
Lura N. Ruck, 97, of rural Wapakoneta, died at 9:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2014, at her residence with her family at her side.
She was born on May 19, 1917, in Auglaize County, the daughter of Floyd and Vasta (Dudgeon) Lhamon, who preceded her in death.
On March 24, 1940, she married Floyd C. Ruck, and he died on Sept. 14, 1984.
Virginia Rinehart Buss, 86, of Bradenton, Fla., died on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014,
Mrs. Buss was born on Oct. 1, 1928, in New Bremen, and moved here 27 years ago from Orlando, Fla., where she lived since 1958.
Retired, Mrs. Buss was a social worker for the state of Florida for 16 years. She was a Girl Scout leader, an elder and member of Christ Church of Longboat Key and an active member in her beloved Zeta Tau Alpha. She was a voracious reader, active investor and avid knitter. She lovingly knitted prayer shawls and baby bonnets for many years.
Timothy J. Young, 56, of 12070 Plattner Pike, St. Marys, died unexpectedly at 4:09 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on June 8, 1958, in St. Marys, the son of James and Grace (Schrolucke) Young.
Norbert V. Schlater, 86, of Versailles, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at 5:48 a.m. at Versailles Health Care Center, Versailles.
He was born on Feb. 17, 1928, in Fort Loramie, to the late Fred and Bernadine (Albers) Schlater.
Ray “Rebel” A. Jarrells, 83, of 315 E. Spring St. in New Knoxville, died at 4:53 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born on Jan. 6, 1931, in Nolan, W.Va., to Dee and Iva (Sparks) Jarrells, both of whom preceded him in death.
On Dec. 22, 1949, in Pikeville, Ky., he married Wanda L. Cook, who survives.
Loretta D. Kill, 69, of St. Marys, died peacefully on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at Otterbein Living Center in St. Marys.
She was born on Sept. 19, 1945, to Aloysius and Rose Mary Elwer Kill who preceded her in death.
She was a graduate of Spencerville High School, Class of 1963.
Loretta was a veteran with the U.S. Air Force. She was recognized as the first woman in the PA Air National Guard to attain the status of first sergeant and retired as senior master sergeant in 1999.
Stephen D. Lawson, 57, of 1033 Hendricks Ave., St. Marys, died unexpectedly at 9:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, 2014, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on May 17, 1957, in Richmond, Ind., the son of Phillip and Della (Anderson) Lawson.
He married Carolyn Teague, and she died suddenly on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014.
