William F. Gilberg, 71

William F. Gilberg, 71, of New Bremen, died at 2:31 a.m. Saturday, March 30, 2013, at the Elmwood of New Bremen, where he had been a resident for the past three months.  

He was born on Jan. 29, 1942, in New Bremen.  

He was the son of Paul and Pauline (Vornholt) Gilberg, who preceded him in death.  

Albert Heckler, 91

Albert Heckler, 91, of Celina, died at 6:04 p.m. on Good Friday of this Easter holiday, March 29, 2013, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, of natural causes.

He was born on Dec. 14, 1921, in Celina, to parents Peter J. Heckler and Rose H. Wiseman Heckler, who preceded him in death.

On Aug. 24, 1946, he married Anna Rita Mestemaker, who survives in Celina.

Marcedis Miller, 82, of Wapakoneta, died Friday, March 29, 2013 at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.

Arrangements are being completed with the Miller Funeral Homes in St. Marys.

Urban A. Grevenkamp, 89

Urban A. Grevenkamp “The Watkins Man,” 89, of Celina, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

He was born on June 8, 1923, in Cassella, to the late Henry and Mary (Olding) Grevenkamp.

Bruce A. Van Dine, 54

Bruce A. Van Dine, 54, of 407 N. Vine St., died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at his residence.

He was born on Feb. 19, 1959, in St. Marys, to Perry and Sarah (Freistuhler) Van Dine.

Survivors include a brother, Larry Van Dine of St. Marys; nephew Dustin Crowell, also of St. Marys; his best friend, Art Cook  of St. Marys.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. 

George E. Raudabaugh, 55

George E. Raudabaugh, 55, of Dublin, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Kobacker House.  

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Beth; parents, G. Edward and Jeanette; brothers, Chris (Cheryl), Bill (Jill) Raudabaugh; sister, Lori (Paul) Havlovitz; seven nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.  

After George graduated from St. Marys Memorial High School, he served in the Army as a Russian translator.  

George was a graduate of The Ohio State University.

Eileen M. Stienecker, 88

Eileen M. Stienecker, 88, formerly of 1506 Neil Ave. in St. Marys, died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Auglaize Acres Nursing Home in Wapakoneta.

 She was born on Oct. 10, 1924, in St. Marys, to Guy and Genevieve (Meyers) Hussey.

On Dec. 29, 1945, in St. Marys, she married Merlin H. Stienecker, who died on July 5, 1996.

Francis S. “Brow” Carmean, 93

Francis S. “Brow” Carmean, 93, of 1913 Cheshire Drive, St. Marys, died at 4:20 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Golden Living Center in St. Marys.

He was born on July 1, 1919, in St. Marys, the son of Stephen and Cina (Bowman) Carmean.

He married Grace Stienecker on Dec. 22, 1945, and she survives in St. Marys.

Elsie J. (Vonderheide) Winner, 75

Elsie J. (Vonderheide) Winner,  75, of Celina, died on Monday, March 25, 2013. 

She was born on Oct. 4, 1937, in Fort Loramie, to the late Albert and Rose Vonderheide. 

She married Donald A. Winner on June 24, 1961, and he preceded her death,  along with  three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by five children, Diane (Cliff) Cerbus, Deborah (Bob) Glass,  David (Amy) Winner,  Dan Winner and Dean (Crista) Winner; 10 grandchildren; and two sisters.

Dallas E. Pierstorff, 83

Dallas E. Pierstorff, 83, of Celina, died on  Sunday, March 24, 2013,  at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.

He was born on Aug. 12, 1929, in Celina,  to the late Edward E. and Hazel L. (Fast) Pierstorff.

He married Kathryn "Kitty" Gengler on Nov. 4, 1951,  and she survives, along with three children, Diane (Barry) Fennig of Celina,  Rebekah Pierstorff Snead of St. Augustine, Fla. and Eric (Jodi) Pierstorff of Celina; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law.
