Elmer N. Hemmelgarn, 89, of Russia, formerly of St. Rose, died at 9:15 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at Versailles Health Care.
He was born on Feb. 23, 1923, in St. Sebastian to the late Theodore and Marie (Timmerman) Hemmelgarn.
He married Regina Rose on Aug. 11, 1948, in St. Henry, who survives in Russia.
December 4th
Richard S. Loffer, 82, of 801 W. North St., St. Marys, died at 7:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1930, in Ada, the son of Lowell and Mary (Hubbell) Loffer.
He married Barbara Van Cleve on May 19, 1951, and she preceded him in death on April 1, 2010.
Rickey W. Timbs, 57, of 7293 State Route 219, Celina, died suddenly at 3:20 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, in the emergency department of Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater, after suffering an apparent heart attack.
He was born on July 26, 1955, in Marion, Ind., the son of William Windred and Lillian (Muncey) Timbs.
Merlin W. Blumhorst, 99, of New Bremen, died at 11:35 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, at the St. Marys Living Center in St. Marys.
He was born on Oct. 15, 1913, near Kettlersville.
He was the son of William and Bertha (May) Blumhorst.
In loving memory of Sachiko Fujimoto of Tokyo, Japan, who passed away at her home after a long illness due to pancreatic cancer. She is survived by her husband, Kenji Fujimoto, and daughter, Akari Fujimoto, both in Tokyo. Her illness was detected shortly after her last trip to visit friends in St. Marys four years ago.

Ina Mae Howell, 98, of 800 Indiana Ave. in St. Marys, died at 2:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, at her residence.
She was born on Aug. 5, 1914, in LaFollette, Tenn. to John and Tressie (Schrimpsher) Webb.
Richard. S. Loffer, 82, of 801 W. North St., St. Marys, died on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012.
Funeral arrangements are being completed with the Miller-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St. Marys.
Dwayne L. Hoelscher, 33, of 405 Greenville Road, Fort Recovery, died on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012, at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater.
He was born on May 26, 1979, in Coldwater to Carolyn McNeil (Hoelscher), and she survives in Fort Recovery.
He is survived by two children, Aiden and Emma Hoelscher of Fort Recovery; his fiancé Tara Kall of Fort Recovery; the mother of his children, Jennifer Hoelscher; five siblings; two nieces; a nephew; aunts; uncles and families; a godfather; two godmothers.

Larry R. Vernatt, 59, of Celina, died on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at his residence.
He was born on Sept. 25, 1953, in Garden City, Mich. to George and Grace Dewald.
Survivors include his wife, Terry Walker-Vernatt of Celina; a son, Charles Vernatt of Celina; three grandchildren, Tyler Vernatt, Destiny Vernatt and Cecelia Vernatt; three sisters, Barbara Dewald of Garden City, Mich., Lori Dewald of Garden City, Mich. and Beth Dewald of New York, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; a sister.
